All Feilingwood decking is designed to resist potential damage. Our current decking lines are scratch resistant, protecting your deck against nicks, cracks, and splitting.
Your safety outdoors is our utmost priority. At Feilingwood, we prioritize safety measures. Our WPC decking has passed fire-resistant testing. However, please note that it is not fireproof.
Feilingwood does not endorse the use of non-recommended fasteners for deck installation. If any issues arise due to the use of a non-recommended fastener, such conditions will not be covered under the Feilingwood Limited Warranty. Please consult our Installation Guide for more information.
Most area rugs are suitable for use on Feilingwood decking, but we advise regularly cleaning underneath them. In rare cases, rugs made of plastic or viscose materials may bleed, potentially staining the decking or making them difficult to remove. Always ensure your decking is fully dry before placing a rug.
Installing a wood or gas firepit directly on top of Feilingwood decking is not recommended. However, you may position a gas firepit beside or in between deck boards, ensuring you use a protective wall made of stone or another fire-resistant material for insulation.
Similar to other outdoor surfaces like concrete, asphalt, beach sand, wood decking, and other composite decking brands, Feilingwood decking can become hot due to weather and sun exposure. On hot sunny days, it’s important to be cautious and avoid prolonged skin contact with the deck surface, especially for young children and those with special needs. Darker colors tend to feel hotter, so for hotter climates, a lighter color may be a better choice.

The robust shell of our high-performance Feilingwood decking means it never requires painting or staining. The rich color and protective finish are inherently part of the shell, designed to resist rotting, splitting, splintering, and insect damage for the duration of the warranty. Additionally, painting Feilingwood decking may invalidate your warranty.
Maintaining a Feilingwood deck is effortless. Simply clean it with soap and water. For a detailed cleaning routine, please refer to our dedicated Care & Cleaning Guide.
While Feilingwood decking requires significantly less maintenance than traditional wood decking, it still needs some care to maintain its appearance over the years. Pressure-treated wood decks require ongoing maintenance, including sanding, staining, and painting, which adds to the overall cost over time. Although Feilingwood may have a higher initial investment, its lack of maintenance needs ensures you’ll never have to sand, stain, or paint it. This results in significant savings throughout the deck’s lifespan, surpassing the cost of wood. Additionally, you’ll enjoy more time on your deck, rather than working on it, further enhancing its value.
Feilingwood decking is crafted from 90% recycled materials, including reclaimed sawdust and recycled plastic derived from common household items like plastic overwrap from paper towel and toilet paper packaging, dry cleaner bags, newspaper bags, and grocery and shopping bags.
Although Feilingwood’s primary materials are recycled, the rigorous processing involved in creating this decking ensures its superior quality and performance. This advanced manufacturing process results in a decking material that outperforms traditional wood, ultimately saving you money through lower maintenance requirements.
On average, the estimated material cost for a Feilingwood composite deck ranges from 20to 40 dollars per square foot, including substructure, decking, hardware, and fasteners. For a true cost estimate, please reach out to our customer service for consultation.
